The multi-platinum, four-time GRAMMY-nominated artist 6LACK is back with a compelling new track, "FTRG" ("F*ck The Rap Game"). The single "FTRG" critiques the superficial aspects of the industry while reaffirming 6lack commitment to authentic artistic expression. This release marks another significant chapter in his storied career, showcasing his ability to blend introspection with impactful music. Directed by AboveGround, the brand new music visually captures the song's themes. It juxtaposes the industry's glitz with 6LACK's raw, authentic persona, creating a compelling narrative that resonates deeply with viewers. The video also enhances the song's message, providing a powerful visual counterpart to 6LACK's introspective lyrics. Offering a candid look at the industry's pressures, 6LACK shares:

I came into the industry before the streaming era, and I’ve witnessed a lot of change since then. Over the last few years, there seems to be a lot more moments where it feels like being an artist is about everything besides the actual music. I consider myself very fortunate to do what I love for a living. But I say fuck the rap 'game' because that’s the part I don’t love. The part that has nothing to do with artistic expression and makes being an artist feel like a job.

As 6LACK continues his North American headlining No More Lonely Nights Tour, fans can experience the emotional depth of his music live. This tour offers intimate performances that highlight the raw emotion and personal growth featured in his songs, particularly from his acclaimed album Since I Have A Lover. The Since I Have A Lover album, lauded by critics from NPR to Rolling Stone, delves into themes of mental health, healing, and self-improvement. Featuring collaborations with artists like Don Toliver and Ty Dolla $ign, and produced by talents like Leon Thomas and Teddy Walton, the album showcases 6LACK's evolution as an artist. With "FTRG," 6LACK urges listeners to focus on the essence of music in the official video below.
