Aidan Bissett isn’t holding back on his newest release, ricochet. Out now alongside Capitol Records, the Florida-born singer, songwriter, and guitarist captures the all-too-familiar feeling of letting the wrong person back in, again and again. Over warm basslines, splashy drums, and soaring alt-pop melodies, the single carries a guitar-laced, emotional lyricism. "ricochet” feels both polished and deeply personal, rounding out Bissett’s evolving sound as he preps for his highly anticipated debut album. Aidan shares:

I kept allowing these things to happen where, while you’re giving yourself, you’re also letting certain people back in. You’re not just on the ground getting kicked, you’re also kicking yourself.

Produced by Andrew Wells, the song took over six months to perfect. It finally hit its stride once Bissett re-recorded the instruments in a live room, giving it the organic, full-band feel it deserved. Following the synth-swept heartbreak of are we in love yet?, “ricochet” marks another confident step forward in Bissett’s 2025 reintroduction.
