ALBUM OF THE YEAR CANDIDATE!
Ends 2022 with a collaborative LP with Drake. Dominates ŕhe feature game and my pick for rapper of the year in 2023. Then opens 2024 with another 4 star album.
Savage is all about quality over quantity which makes him a great album artist. There isn't a ridiculous hiatus like Kendrick Lamar who waited 5 years to release his last album. 21 also has the ability to remain relevant between albums. When he does release he doesn’t oversaturate. He gives just enough music to keep the album spinning for a considerable amount of time.
He gives us some substance on this album with songs like letter to my brudda and dark days featuring Mariah The Scientist. Then there a couple songs for the ladies which includes the smash should’ve wore a bonnet featuring Brent Faiyaz). However, Savage is still at his best when he’s in his bag with songs like red rum, dangerous featuring Lil Durk, and red sky featuring Tommy Newport, and spinning with Ekko.
Other big name features include Young Thug, Travis Scott, Burna Boy, Doja Cat, and Summer Walker. We also get a lot of production from Metro Boomin which is Savage’s favorite producer.
Best Song = ”Red Rum”
