The 25 year old rapper comes from Pompano Florida. One of the top new artists from the state. Others include Bossman Dlow, Luh Tyler, Wizz Havinn, and BLP KOSHER. Loe is the most melodic of the group.
This album is good but it’s a lot of music especially when you include the deluxe. Next project I’d try to trim it down. Dlow and Tyler’s latest projects were around 40 minutes which is respectable length. Those projects have replay value because they are not too long to the point where you are not sure if you want to listen to the whole project again.
The subject matter includes sex, romance, trap music, drill music, and getting high on drugs. It used to be cool to be the drug dealer in rap music. This was true in the 90”s and early 2000’s. Then somewhere there was a flip to where it was cool to be the drug addict. This probably has to be with rappers like Lil Wayne, Future, and Juice WRLD who romanized drug addiction in the music. Although today’s main theme in rap has shifted from addiction to drill music this is not the case for Loe Shimmy whose main subject matter talks about the use of drugs. It makes sense being that he is from the drug capital of the world (Florida).
Best Song = “Dirty Soda Junkie” (Feat. Veeze)
