A sonic odyssey decades in the making. GRAMMY®-nominated, Emmy and BAFTA-winning composer Bear McCreary continues to push the boundaries of cinematic music with two previously unreleased tracks from his epic concept album, The Singularity. The newly unearthed Escape from the Machines (1995 Demo) and Supermassive Spiral offers a fans a rare glimpse into McCreary’s creative evolution. Spanning from a 15-year-old’s four-track cassette recording to the fully realized rock-orchestral fusion heard on his groundbreaking debut album, McCreary shares:
In the summer of 1995, I wrote a searing prog rock–orchestral hybrid. Nearly three decades later, I re-recorded and released it with Slash and Joe Satriani. With The Singularity: B-Sides & Demos, I’m thrilled to reveal new aspects of my creative process—showcasing both a scrappy thirty-year-old demo and a fully produced B-side that never made the final album.

These releases arrive as McCreary prepares to embark on his hugely anticipated Themes & Variations World Tour, which launches April 18 in London before heading across Europe and North America. Known for his iconic scores spanning God of War, The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power, Outlander, Battlestar Galactica, and The Walking Dead, McCreary will perform selections from his legendary catalog alongside music from The Singularity.
