Written By: Big C

Joy, chaos, and the clarity in between. Bob Mould is making a triumphant return with Here We Go Crazy, his 15th solo studio album and first full-length project in over four years. Slated for release on March 7 via Granary Music and BMG Records, the album is already creating buzz with its electrifying lead single and title track. Accompanied by a striking music video shot in the rugged Southern California desert, Mould delivers a reflective yet invigorating take on embracing life’s highs, uncertainties, and silences. In Here We Go Crazy, Mould refines his legendary guitar-driven sound with a fresh, dynamic energy. Mould describes the album as “straightforward guitar pop songs” on the surface but delves into themes of control, chaos, and unconditional love. He explains:

It’s about refining my primary sound and style through simplicity, brevity, and clarity.

Featuring the masterful rhythm section of Jon Wurster (drums) and Jason Narducy (bass), the album showcases 11 powerful tracks produced at Chicago’s iconic Electrical Audio and mixed in Oakland by longtime collaborator Beau Sorenson. Fans won’t have to wait long to experience the new songs live. Mould’s US headline tour kicks off on April 1 at San Diego’s Music Box, with stops at iconic venues like The Fillmore in San Francisco and the Black Cat in Washington, D.C. Highlights include two nights at Chicago’s Metro and shows at New York’s Le Poisson Rouge and Seattle’s Neptune Theatre.
