Puerto Rican indie duo Buscabulla open the doors to their most vulnerable chapter yet with El Camino. This track is the searing first single from their upcoming album Se Amaba Así, out June 13 via Domino. Anchored in disco-kissed guitars and emotionally charged vocals, the track captures a turning point in a relationship, the slow drive toward disconnection and the ache of love on uncertain terrain. Vocalist Raquel Berrios wrote the song as a meditation on emotional crossroads and self-reflection, stating:

If art isn’t about putting yourself in this vulnerable position, then what is the point of making it? We wanted to achieve a cinematic sound to open up the movie that is our new record

El Camino” arrives with a cinematic visual which sets the tone for the record’s deep introspection. Translating to “The Way They Loved,” "Se Amaba Así" is a confessional exploration of love’s complications, both romantic and personal. Co-produced by the duo and mixed by GRAMMY-winner Rich Costey, the album builds a lush, genre-spanning world of synths, live percussion, vocal loops, and Latin-rooted textures—from the neo-doowop feel of Mi Marido to the jagged guitars of Mortal. I don’t like fantasy. Watch “El Camino,” and get ready to experience Buscabulla’s next chapter by following them on FACEBOOK, INSTAGRAM, TWITTER, and YOUTUBE.
