This Halloween, Colorado-based computer manufacturer System76 is adding a touch of rock ‘n’ roll to their seasonal sale with an exciting new twist. System76's fictional band, Theliohead, is dropping a brand-new single and music video to celebrate the launch of their latest Arm-powered desktop, Thelio Astra, set to release on November 12. Theliohead first hit the scene last October with a VH1 pop-up video style single packed with company history and facts, promoting their optimized airflow design. The new music video stars all of System76’s handcrafted desktops, introducing Thelio Astra as the band’s newest "member" in a playful, music-filled adventure. VP Marketing at System76's Louisa Bisio had to say:
We’re proud of the partnerships we’ve built here in Colorado to bring the Theliohead vision to life. Customers who use System76 computers do really incredible and inspiring work. So we like to push the creativity on our creative campaigns.
This creative endeavor not only showcases the powerful and energy-efficient Thelio Astra but also highlights System76's innovative spirit and dedication to the open-source community. Also this year, Theliohead is going on tour from October 25 to November 29, premiering their new music video at major open-source tech events, including the All Things Open Conference in Raleigh, NC, and the Ubuntu Summit in Europe. Fans have the chance to meet the band (or their desktop stand-ins), snag limited-edition Theliohead band shirts, and celebrate the launch of System76’s new desktop. Plus, enjoy an awesome Halloween sale with $100 off select laptops and $100-$300 off select desktops from October 24 to November 7. Take a look at the official video for Precision below.
