Boston-via-Rahway alt-rock outfit Cut The Kids In Half unveils their long-anticipated debut album, What We Became, arriving January 31, 2025. Alongside brother Charlie Silver and drummer Luke Tan, the trio built their reputation through relentless performances in the local music scene. Including recent additions Kevin Mortenson on guitar and Joey Sorkin on bass and keys, they draw inspiration from literary greats and alt-rock legends, bringing the bands songwriting to emotional honesty and poetic depth. On "What We Became," the band collaborated with producers Lee DeWyze in Los Angeles and Ray Ketchem in New Jersey, resulting in a polished yet raw sonic narrative. Vignettes of struggle, love, and resilience play out across nine tracks, offering a deeply relatable debut that captures the essence of youthful uncertainty.
