Change begins within, where reflections turn to revelations... Acclaimed singer-songwriter David Shaw has teamed up with Jim James or a striking new version of Take A Look Inside. Released via Yokoko Records, this reimagined track blends Shaw’s soulful storytelling with James’ unmistakable vocals, elevating the song’s introspective themes of growth, self-reflection, and inner strength. The collaboration is accompanied by a visually captivating animated music video, directed by Andrew Knives, introducing a fresh narrative that brings both artists into a surreal, symbolic journey. Jim James shared:
I was so honored when David asked me to sing with him on this beautiful song. We had an amazing discussion about how, in the craziness of the world, one place we all can create positive change is within ourselves. I think those sentiments are echoed beautifully in this song, and it was a joy to sing together.
