Shower Curtain has just dropped their latest single, You’re Like Me, a powerful track from their highly anticipated debut album Words From A Wishing Well. “You’re Like Me” explores themes of emotional distance and self-reflection, wrapped in a haunting melody which seamlessly blends reverberating guitars and a touch of Y2K drum machine flair. The official music video, directed by NYC duo Sex Week, adds a visual layer portraying a distant relationship that echoes the song’s lyrical themes. Shot in New York City over a weekend, the video portrays two people drifting apart despite knowing how to hurt each other the most. Fronted by Brazilian-American artist Victoria Winter, she explains:

‘You’re Like Me’ is about realizing that sometimes the people who hurt you the most are those who reflect parts of yourself.

FLOOD Magazine praised the track, calling it “a sharp-edged epic” as Victoria’s soft vocals merge with scuzzy guitar riffs and tight percussion. Shower Curtain continues to push the boundaries of indie rock with their 90s-inspired sound and evocative lyrics. With contributions from band members Cody Hudgins, Ethan Williams, and Sean Terrell, "Words From A Wishing Well" promises to be a powerful debut. Fans can look forward to their North American tour, where they’ll perform alongside fellow New York band MX LONELY. The tour culminates with an album release show presented by Stereogum at TV Eye in NYC. Watch the official music video to "You're Like Me" and connect with Shower Curtain on Twitter, Instagram, Bandcamp, and Spotify.
