Interpol fans have a new reason to celebrate: the band’s live LP, Live At Third Man Records, is set to release on December 6, 2024. Recorded direct-to-acetate at Nashville’s iconic Third Man Records' Blue Room, the album captures the raw energy and precision of Interpol’s live performance on June 13, 2024. Using a vintage 1955 Scully lathe originally from King Records, the process captures live performances in their purest form, free from modern digital manipulation. This unique recording process, done entirely in one take with no overdubs, offers a rare and authentic listening experience. A live version of “Say Hello To The Angels” is already available for streaming.
Interpol’s rich history in alternative music began in New York City, where their post-punk, shoegaze, and dark wave influences quickly established them as a genre-defining act. Their debut album, Turn On The Bright Lights, remains a landmark in modern rock, while their catalog of seven critically acclaimed studio albums, including 2022’s The Other Side Of Make-Believe, has cemented their status as one of alternative music’s most enduring forces.
Third Man Records’ direct-to-acetate recording process adds a unique dimension to this release, offering a one-of-a-kind analog experience. Pre-order today here and stream “Say Hello To The Angels,” below! Stay tuned By following Interpol on Instagram, Twitter, Facebook, and YouTube.
