Girl, don't you know, I'm on vacation! With their latest single, Hiatus," indie pop/rock trio Koyal invites listeners to embrace the art of a solo escape. Released alongside an animated lyric video, this saxophone-driven track marks the first preview of their eagerly awaited sophomore album, breathe in. breathe out. A joyful ode to the importance of unplugging, "Hiatus" blends muted piano, rhythm guitar, and a cathartic bridge, perfectly embodying the band’s knack for turning introspection into infectious vibes. Shot at Los Angeles' Elysian Park, the video captures the song's upbeat yet reflective mood. Drummer Wallace describes the song as:

A celebration of life's negative space – the moments where you’re truly alone and can hear yourself think.
