This project marks a significant evolution in Tizer’s musical journey, showcasing his unparalleled ability to blend genres and expand the boundaries of jazz fusion. The album features both instrumental tracks and the band's first-ever original vocal songs, brought to life by RIAA Platinum Certified singer Elliott Yamin. "Amplify" is more than just an album; it’s a dynamic experience, recorded live at Hollywood’s iconic EastWest Studios and captured on film by acclaimed director Andy LaViolette. Tizer shares:
Amplify is the culmination of years of composition, arrangement, performance, and a lot of dreaming... I’m so proud of the amazing cast of musicians, vocalists, engineers, director, editor, and crew that brought this most ambitious project to life. To accomplish an entire 9-song project, recorded and filmed all live in 2 days, is really a feat and a testament to an amazing team of people who brought their absolute A+ game.
The album was co-produced by Tizer and recorded by renowned audio engineer Caleb Parker. It features an A-list ensemble of musicians, including GRAMMY-winning saxophonist Eric Marienthal, Emmy-winning guitarist Chieli Minucci, and Senegalese bassist Cheikh N'Doye. The Lao Tizer Band is currently on tour, bringing "Amplify" to life on stage with their electrifying performances.
