Canadian singer-songwriter and multi-instrumentalist Leif Vollebekk is set to release his highly anticipated album, Revelation, on September 27 through Secret City Records. This latest work features eleven tracks that showcase Vollebekk's narrative lyrics, cinematic arrangements, and lush orchestration. Fans can get an early taste with the lead single Moondog, which perfectly captures the album's blend of organic and celestial themes. Vollebekk shared:
During the pandemic lockdown, I was drawn to biographies and books about science. I guess I was looking for something to ground me. When I read Carl Jung’s ‘Dreams, Memories, Reflections,’ I was taken aback that he wrote so freely of having premonitions in his dreams and by his fascination with alchemy.
"Revelation" was recorded at Sunset Sound and Dreamland in Woodstock, New York, and features an impressive roster of collaborators, including legendary drummer Jim Keltner, steel guitarist Cindy Cashdollar, and bassist Shahzad Ismaily. Mixed by Tchad Blake and mastered by Greg Calbi, the album promises a rich auditory experience. Vollebekk will support the album with a headline tour across Europe in October 2024.
