Nashville-based indie alt-pop sensation, Moody Joody, has just shared the vibrant St. Lucia remix of their latest summer crush anthem, Velvet Connection. The track, originally co-written with Scott Harris, radiates a bright, shimmering energy that captures the electric feel of a forbidden summer romance. This remix, which marks Moody Joody’s first release of 2024, comes alongside the exciting announcement of their signing with Photo Finish Records. The trio, known for their dreamy production, dynamic vocals, and honest lyricism, continues to expand their sonic universe with this fresh collaboration. Mike Marquis, Executive Vice President of Photo Finish Records, expressed his enthusiasm about the new partnership, stating:

We are very excited to welcome Moody Joody to Photo Finish. They are a dynamic young band that fits perfectly within our family. We look forward to helping provide them a platform to get their music, talent, and personality out to as many new fans as possible.

Producer Andrew Pacheco, a longtime fan of St. Lucia, shared his excitement:

St. Lucia’s records had a massive influence on me sonically around the time I first started producing. To have Jean, whose sound is a facet of my musical DNA, hop on our song and do a remix is absolutely wild to me and such an honor.

The remix, skillfully crafted by St. Lucia, transports listeners straight to the dance floor, showcasing the group’s versatility and flair for reimagining their sound. This fall, Moody Joody will join MisterWives on their Just For One Night! U.S. tour, supporting the alt-pop/rock group on select dates. Be sure to grab your tickets now and experience the band live! Listen to the remix below, and stay connected with Moody Joody on  Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, YouTube, and TikTok for more updates and surprises.
