Nige, the rising singer-songwriter from Washington, D.C., has just released the official music video for his deeply moving single, Don’t Cry. The visual offers an intimate look into the aftermath of a painful breakup, capturing the raw emotions of a relationship unraveling within the walls of a once-shared home. Produced by Supah Mario, the track is a stirring addition to Nige’s growing catalog, showcasing his ability to translate personal heartbreak into powerful, relatable music. “Don’t Cry” opens with Nige’s somber reflection on the situation, setting the tone for an emotional journey through the highs and lows of love gone wrong. Reflecting on the creation of “Don’t Cry,” Nige shared:

I remember when I first made ‘Don’t Cry,’ I went back home and played it for some of the homies, and they all said it gave them goosebumps. That’s kinda when I knew it was going to be a big song that a lot of people could connect with. Then I teased the song once about 7 months ago. It got over 4 million views on TikTok, and till this day I get DMs and comments asking me to drop it. This song is about the good, bad, and ugly parts of the relationship I was in and I’m delivering it as real and raw as possible to the world.

The music video for “Don’t Cry” follows the release of Nige’s previous visual for War In The Trenches, a powerful depiction of his and his friends’ struggles to survive their challenging environment. The visual narrative further cements Nige’s commitment to telling authentic stories rooted in his personal experiences. As he looks ahead, his compelling storytelling and emotional depth promise to keep him on the path to stardom.
