Nostalgia Meets Modernity In L.C. Franke's Exotic Bossa Nova Ballad "Wish The World"

Written By: Big C

Orchestral pop singer-songwriter L.C. Franke has shared his brand new single, Wish The World. This Leonard Cohen-esque Bossa-Nova ballad perfectly encapsulates his talent for blending classic influences with contemporary themes. Known for his emotive storytelling and rich, moving soundscapes, Franke's new track offers listeners a luscious journey through existential reflection, wrapped in the sultry rhythms of Bossa Nova. The single, released via Side Hustle Records, serves as a teaser for his upcoming debut album, Still In Bloom, set to drop on July 19. Franke had to say:

‘Wish The World’ is kind of a French Pop meets Sexy Spy Movie Tango about a person who wants so badly to see the good in people that they often blind themselves to reality.

The song, written in Nashville with Bill Reynolds and Matthew Ryan, was recorded with a full live orchestra, adding a layer of grandeur to its introspective lyrics. Franke’s collaboration with seasoned musicians and his own deft touch create a track that is as thought-provoking as it is sonically rich. As he prepares for upcoming performances in New York City on July 25 and Austin, TX on August 3, fans can look forward to experiencing his unique musical vision live. The new single follows the releases of You and Me and Us Against the World and You're Not Alone, both of which have set high expectations for the full album.
