You catch yourself but you can’t catch a break. NYC dreamgaze five-piece PANIK FLOWER returns with their haunting new single ocd, which is a dark exploration of digital dependence and the obsessive consumption that defines modern life. The track is the latest preview from their upcoming sophomore EP, rearview, arriving April 30 via James Duncan’s production. With Sage Leopold’s ethereal vocals and a wall of surfy, washed-out guitars, “ocd” captures the chaotic tug-of-war between addiction and awareness—a sonic loop of anxiety that pulls listeners deep into its hypnotic grip. Drawing inspiration from classic ’90s grunge videos like Sonic Youth’s Bull In The Heather, guitarist Jordan Buzzell shares:

We wanted the ‘ocd’ video to exist across time periods.

The accompanying erratic official video, directed by Aji Bass, mirrors this tension between chaos and stability. Filmed at Porter Studio in Brooklyn and upstate NY, the video shifts from composed band shots to frenetic cuts and unsettling imagery, echoing the track’s themes of intrusive thoughts and disorientation. Bringing their all-consuming, elevated sound to the stage, PANIK FLOWER is set to perform at New York City’s New Colossus Fest on March 7th at Arlene's Grocery and March 8th at Berlin.
