NYC-based dreamgaze band Panik Flower unveils Alkaline, the first glimpse of their sophomore EP rearview, arriving April 30. This female-fronted five-piece masterfully balances the ethereal and visceral, weaving haunting soundscapes with driving hooks. Produced by James Duncan, and mastered by Carl Saff, rearview delves into the intricacies of self-identity. "rearview" promises to expand the band’s sonic exploration into themes of identity and self-acceptance. Sage Leopold vocalist said:
‘Alkaline’ captures a dualism of intensity and vulnerability. From the fuzzy warmth of the opening wall of sound to the driving urgency of the chorus, the track embodies a sense of yearning in both its lyrics and instrumentals.
Guitarist/vocalist Mila Stieglitz-Courtney reflects on its evolution:
When Jordan first shared the chords, it struck something deep. We were determined to flesh it out, balancing eerie moodiness with dynamic shifts that keep listeners captivated.

While their debut EP Dark Blue focused on relationships, this project shifts inward, channeling the uncertainty and self-acceptance of personal growth into lush soundscapes and emotionally charged lyrics. Panik Flower is set to deliver their electrifying live presence at New Colossus Fest in NYC this March. Before that, fans can join the band for their “Alkaline” release party on January 17 at T.J. Byrnes, featuring DJ sets from Lip Critic and Scary Bradshaw. Pre-save "rearview" and don’t miss the immersive lyric video for “Alkaline” below.
