Ezekiel’s vision meets the grit of 90s grunge. Emerging from Wrocław, Poland, Bagdad introduces themselves to the world with their atmospheric debut single, Valley Of Dry Bones. The single is the first taste of their debut EP, They Don’t Know, slated for release on March 27, 2025. Blending the raw energy of 90s grunge with the introspection of slowcore, Bagdad’s sound is brooding, gritty, and utterly unique. Frontman Franciszek Drobiński shared the inspiration behind the haunting track:

I wrote this song in 2021, just messing around on the guitar when this riff emerged. The lyrics were shaped by a vivid memory of an image I saw as a child—a depiction of Ezekiel’s vision of The Valley of Dry Bones. While the song explores a different theme, that biblical image resonated deeply and became the title.

Bagdad’s music offers an intimate exploration of melancholy and resilience, bringing listeners a fresh yet familiar sound that’s uniquely their own. The trio, comprising Drobiński (guitar/vocals), Wojciech Stach (bass), and Jakub Gadamski (drums), recorded "They Don’t Know" during the summer of 2024. The EP promises a nostalgic yet innovative fusion of grunge’s explosive guitars and slowcore’s emotive depths, crafted with an unmistakable Eastern European sensibility.
