The talented singer-songwriter Rae Isla releases her latest album, New Frontier. This album, produced in collaboration with guitarist and composer Pablo Valero, is a testament to Isla's artistic growth and powerful storytelling. The focus track, Jesus Was A Woman, is an empowering anthem dedicated to women who have been underestimated, featuring heartfelt lyrics that pay tribute to Isla’s maternal lineage. Rae Isla’s music not only captivates with its melodies but also resonates deeply with its themes of empowerment and introspection. Rae Isla says:
Sometimes change is dramatic and sometimes it’s silent. The end of a relationship, a period of grief, a necessary fertile void before the start of some grand new adventure. The idea of the ‘New Frontier’ is nothing new at all. History shows us continually searching for what is still untouched—virginal—to stake our claim. We are remembered for what we discover. But what if discovering were a journey inward not outward? What if legacy meant staying exactly where you are and re-discovering yourself? Well, the best critics are those who are guilty of what they criticize, and I am guilty. I’ve never stayed in one place for long. I keep searching for my New Frontier.
Alongside the album release, Rae Isla's voice can be heard in the film Ezra starring Robert DeNiro, and fans can enjoy her updated browser game Miles and Miles, which now includes the title track from the new album. Rae Isla celebrated the album's release with a show at Fremont Abbey in Seattle and will be performing at the Moroccan Lounge in Los Angeles on July 27.
