Emerging dance and electronic sensation Riovaz has just released his new single and video for Lavender Town. Released under Darkroom/Geffen Records, this track showcases Riovaz's ability to blend atmospheric drum & bass, pop, rap, and electronic sounds, creating an anthemic track. The single, inspired by a haunted village from the original Pokémon video games, serves as a metaphor for Riovaz's stormy state of mind and the end of a failed relationship. Reflecting on the personal nature of his new release, Riovaz shared:
This single makes me feel like I am actually coming into my own and being able to share my deepest moments while adding the dopest sounds on top of it is just unmatched. This is an opportunity for my listeners to get to know me from a different perspective than ever before and it’s only the beginning of what’s to come.
Though he still navigates the growing pains of life and love on his upcoming album, he does so being aware of his flaws, owning up to his mistakes, and remaining achingly real. Riovaz's recent inclusion in Billboard’s ’21 Under 21’ list underscores his rising star status. This year, fans can look forward to his God Is A DJ Tour, which kicks off in October. Tickets are available now here, offering a chance to experience Riovaz’s dynamic live performances.
