Sometimes you have to stand alone just to make sure you still can. Nashville’s critically acclaimed country rockers The Wild Feathers are back teasing their brand new album Sirens. This marks their first release in nearly three years, and it promises to deliver a blend of heartland rock excellence, old-school guitar riffs, and rootsy jams. The album lead with the single Sanctuary, produced by the likes of Shooter Jennings. With its organ-laced melodies and powerful lyrics about self-worth and resilience, this track is already making waves. co-founding singer/guitarist Ricky Young explains:
'Sanctuary' is about standing up for yourself and not being the punching bag and safe place in a toxic relationship. It kind of encourages you to remember your self-worth and to love yourself. You can love somebody so much that you forget who you really are and I think that’s a place where a lot of people find themselves. It’s good to love somebody, but you can’t stop being happy in the process.
This latest collaboration with New West Records has resulted in a richly descriptive and spirited collection of songs that chronicle life's ups and downs. The album includes tracks like Don’t Know, a surf-punk anthem with layered gang vocals, and Pretending, a haunting piano ballad. Lookout for upcoming events for the band and until then pre-order the album set for release on October 4th.
