Living the dream while acknowledging the dream can be pretty hard sometimes. The dynamic trio Trousdale, composed of Quinn D’Andrea, Georgia Greene, and Lauren Jones, announces their highly anticipated sophomore album, Growing Pains. Alongside this exciting news, the band unveils the title track a warmly defiant anthem that tackles the grind of chasing your dreams while teetering on the edge of burnout. Opening with a ripping electric guitar and infused with their signature harmonies, “Growing Pains” perfectly captures the delicate balance of passion and exhaustion. The accompanying music video, directed by Giovanna Trujillo, brings the song’s themes to life as the trio transforms from gym-goers to boxers, symbolically stepping into the ring and emerging as superheroes. Lauren Jones shared:
It really is so disorienting at times to have a career that is your passion, but also your work. Your boundaries are constantly being pushed and pulled, and you’re always willing to put in the overtime because you care so much.
Set to release on April 11 via Independent Co, Growing Pains was co-produced by the band alongside John Mark Nelson, with additional contributions from Mags Duval and Lawrence Rothman. The album expands Trousdale’s sonic palette, incorporating a full band for the first time and delivering a bigger, more dynamic sound across its 12 relatable tracks. To celebrate the album, Trousdale will embark on the Growing Pains tour joined by openers Beane and Nia Ashleigh, with a collaborative opening set planned. In response to the wildfires that devastated their home state, Trousdale is partnering with The Ally Coalition to donate $1 from every ticket to The California Community Foundation’s Wildfire Recovery Fund.
