Electronic music innovator Tycho caps off a remarkable year with a six-track collection release of their Where You Are EP. The EP builds upon the success of Infinite Health, which was co-produced by Hansen with Chris Taylor of Grizzly Bear and guitarist Zac Brown. Tracks like Phantom, Green, and Devices have resonated deeply with fans and critics alike, with NPR describing the album as “an intimate, emotionally fulfilling journey.” Scott Hansen, the visionary behind Tycho, reflects on the inspiration behind the project:
Music has a unique ability to heal and help people with things they are going through. My goal is to create a meditative, healing experience for listeners.
The collaboration with Cautious Clay further amplifies this ethos, as the vocalist adds:
This song was inspired by meditation, breath work, and psilocybin, and the positive effects they can have on health.
The EP offers a reflective expansion of themes introduced in Tycho’s acclaimed "Infinite Health" album earlier this year. This reimagined version of the title track showcases Cautious Clay’s soulful vocals and profound lyrical depth, blending seamlessly with Tycho’s signature atmospheric production. As Tycho closes the chapter on 2024, they look ahead to an extensive 2025 world tour. Kicking off January 8 in Orlando, FL, the tour will including marquee stops at London’s KOKO and major festivals like Goose’s Viva El Gonzo in Mexico and The Disco Biscuits’ SeaBisco in Alaska.
